The GCAV has a scholarship program in order to help recruit and retain the best and brightest veterinary and veterinary technology students in the Midlands.  These modest scholarships are intended to help defray travel, lodging and incidental costs while students are performing externships at GCAV member hospitals and organizations.  While most of our member practices in the Midlands are Companion Animal practices, the GCAV is a diverse group with over 10 AVMA recognized veterinary specialties, as well as members involved with Public Health, Academia, Government and Regulatory Veterinary Medicine and Military Veterinary Medicine.  If you’re interested in externships in other areas of veterinary medicine, please contact one of our scholarship committee members below and ask for help in finding an opportunity with one of our GCAV member practices and activities.  To apply for a scholarship, which are awarded on a rolling basis, please send a letter of intent describing your externship plan along with your resume/curriculum vitae and a proposed budget to one of our scholarship committee members listed below:
